Mailwasher Pro kills spam. One of the cool features of this product is its learning system. This software can interact with other users’ spam incidents to learn how to defend against them. Don’t worry, it does this through a central database clearinghouse. This harnesses the power of distributed processing. It’s an interesting concept, but I wonder about its future. Many companies are starting to incorporate server-level spam and virus filtering (about time!). Also, this software doesn’t integrate into the email client. It has to be run before retrieving email. This can present a problem if you don’t actually run it and then retrieve email. An interesting concept, nonetheless.
