AutoPilots

Auto Pilot Road NavigatorIf you’re like me, directional ability is not something you inherited. I stink at directions, I admit it. The Auto Pilot Road Navigator is a nifty tool for the directionally challenged. If your vehicle doesn’t come with gps navigation, you could spend $35 for this product. It will dicatate directions to you. It also has points of interest like: gas, food, hotels & motels, campsites, rest areas, tourist attractions, 24- hour roadside assistance, 24- hour gas stations, hospitals, etc. And it’s easy to operate.

McCrary Personal Transport SystemAnother interesting “auto-pilot” technology is the McCrary Personal Transport System. The system is a velocity monitored car road system. The system uses technology that is easily incorporated into next generation hybrid cars. MPT boasts an impressive volume of 20,000 car/ per hour over it’s single-lane roadway. That figure is comparable to a standard, ten lane highway. The system moves cars along at 68mph and bumper to bumper. Cars are required to use either tubeless tires or auto-fill tires (instant patch in case of flat). And each car is scanned for compliance on numerous safety ratings. If the car fails, it is either denied access to the roadway or required to exit at the first available exit. Standard cars could use the automated system and then move to non-automated roads seamlessly.
