John Hering, a student at the University of Southern California, made a rifle last year. Yeah, yeah, so what. What’s the big deal about building a rifle. How about a rifle that can hone into hackable bluetooth enabled devices from over a mile away! Now that will make any geek drool. Hering has founded a wireless security think tank called Flexilis. …The vulnerabilities and exploits on bluetooth can enable someone to listen to phone calls, redirect calls, place hidden calls, etc. This shows that security continues to be a problem with wireless appliances.

That CNN stuff is crazy. Now sitting outside of a house in car with your laptop is pretty shady but if I am hanging at the pool and your wi-fi is not secured it should be fair game!
