Social Networking can create an unbelievable swell of marketing buzz. That’s exactly what has happened to Flock. Flock is the brain child of Bart Decrem (from the famed Mozilla Foundation) and a cohort of programmers (some also from Mozilla). Flock is touting itself as the “social” browser. Bookmarks are replaced by breadcrumbs, i.e. social bookmarks. …Breadcrumbs can be shared and viewed by others. Flock also includes a wysiwyg blog tool. People asked for it - flock is trying to give it. Flock also plays very nicely with flickr, technorati, and del.icio.us. Want to try? Sorry, it’s by invite only. But you can sign up on the list.

If anyone can give me an invite you can have 100 BS chips
Social networking? Um, no. Flock’s gained a buzz thanks to some old-style media coverage, namely in Wired Magazine.
There is indeed still such a thing as mass media; take note.
