Looking GlassMy brother tipped me off to this really cool Java technology from Sun Microsystems. Looking Glass turns your operating system desktop into a 3D virtual world. You can view the demo here. If you don’t want to hear project notes on it, just scroll about half way through the demonstration. You have to have Quicktime or RealPlayer – but it’s worth it. This will change the way we approach OS development. The latest version is available for download for linux and Solaris x86. It will include Windows in the future. Now we just have to hook this up to the heliodisplay!
