Okay, a little while ago I posted on the Kenpo iPod Jacket. The good folks at Kenpo Fashion were good enough to ship me a review unit. Special thanks to Keith for giving me the opportunity to review the jacket. First impressions are big. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the iPod jacket. I was really expecting a thin jacket with some technology integration. I was pretty shocked to pull out an extremely nice jacket that was really high quality. It sports reflective strips on the hood and back for wearing at
night. It also includes a hood. Again, I was surprised to find you could cinch the hood to fit snugly. The jacket is waterproof and breathable. It will allow
body heat and moisture to breathe out while keeping water out. Good stuff. The interior compartment is where all the magic happens. Here you hook your iPod up to a connection device that is wired to the controls on the sleeve. The hookup is easy and hassle free. The iPod sits snugly in the compartment and the headphone line feeds through a hole in the top. There is also a catch eye in the upper interior to guide the headphone wires to your ears. The controls are easy to use and intuitive. No more digging in your pocket or in your
jacket to forward tracks, pause, rewind, or change volume. It works like a charm. The only caveat you have to be aware of is this: the controls lock after a short time. This is to keep the controls from being accidentally pushed. Just push down the forward control for 3 seconds and your back in action. So, what is the bottom line? I really like this jacket. Oh, and by the way, it’s washable. This jacket is fashionable, functional, and just plain cool. Everyone will comment on how good it looks. I recommend this jacket fully and give it the following rating, out of 5 stars:
