gmap pedometer.JPGGmap Pedometer is a really cool little website. If you’re an avid runner/walker/biker, then you will absolutely love this site. It is built on google maps and utilizes it to help you plot exercise routes. Simply start recording, double click your start point and your paths, and check out the results. It plugs in mile markers for you. Beware, however, that it draws in a straight path. So, you need to plug on cross sections of roads. If the road is windy, you will need to click multiple times to stick to the path. Gmap Pedometer also includes some other really neat features for your running or walking or biking excursion.

Once you have your path mapped out, you can see elevation in the course. That’s a mighty useful feature. And you can also see how many calories are burned, based on your weight. Lastly, you can save your route. I love this thing.
