Paul Rademacher, an engineer with Dreamworks Animation, has come up with some software to combine Craigslist and Google Maps to search for Real Estate. Craigslist is a massive online, local classified service. Housing Maps is Rademacher’s website. It shows listings of for sale and rental residential real estate. The interface is Google Maps with a Craigslist back-end. As such, you inherit all of Google Maps fun abilities. At the top, you … want to select whether you are searching for rentals, for sale residential homes, rooms, or sublets. From there you can select your price range and what city you want to look in. You can select text on the right to nail down a property or you can search visually. You can zoom in on properties. Selecting the property brings up a pop-up bubble that will include information like pictures, email, etc. Go claim your real estate!
