Fabien Cousteau recently aired on CBS in a show entitled Shark: Mind of a Demon. The show documented the lives of great white sharkes. What’s peculiar is the way that Fabien got close to the sharks. His namesake alone brings him instant credibility, respect, and admiration in the oceanic world. But his craft brings a bunch of weird stares. The shark was built with a nice $100,000 price tag. Fabien rides inside the shark sub thingy. The inside is filled with water and is propelled by its wagging tail. Fabien breathes from the airtanks from inside the head of the shark.
Oh yeah, don’t worry, the shark craft has a steel rib cage that protects the occupant, just in case of attack. Fabien Cousteau was trying to get close to sharks in a natural way – trying to dispel the notion that they’re wreckless, crazy killers.
