Metal Storm utilizes an electronic firing system. This allows projectiles to be stacked within the barrel. The projectiles are then fired sequentially out of the barrel. This allows for incredibly fast projectile deployment - to the tune of 1 million rounds per minute. Metal Storm pushes the lack of moving, mechanical parts - because that means less points of failure. These systems can be put into handguns, remote standalone units, on drones, etc.

- fast second round strike capability before recoil effect.
