Halloween for Geeks

Halloween is a great time of the year. If you happen to be in a lucky neighborhood that goes overboard on Halloween, you can join in on the rowdiness. I saw some really creative displays last year. These were nothing like the commercial packages that are now appearing all over the place. These were actually unique and had geek heart and soul. Let me share a few ideas.

EEG MindReader - utilizing this piece of software and invoking your powers of geekdome, you could build a simple machine that reads minds. Ooh, freaky.

Sticky Eyeballs - people are drawn to pick loose eyeballs up. I have no idea why, but it’s true and gross. The problem with these eyeballs is that you can’t put them down.

Video Game & Anime Costumes - OMG, this is hysterical. Get/make one of these and you will instantly garner the admiration of geeks everywhere. Oh, and the disdain and mocks of everyone else.

Geek Boy Costume - If you just aren’t up to snuff as a geek - this will make it so. Put it one and poof, i love binary.

Radio Controlled Tarantulas, Snakes, and Rats - Need I say more? Pick someone who is phobic to one of these and voila, instant fun and hysteria.

HangMan Freak O Rama - This one might best be saved for the older kids and adults. Man, this could really freak someone out.

Cylon Jack O Lantern - Nothing speaks deeply to the geek soul like Cylon Jack O Lanterns.

Transformer Costumes - My word - the imagination & the spare time! Fully transformable costumes, I kid you not.

Motion Activated Door Knocker - They say it’s much better than a doorbell.

Flickering LED Pumpkin - It screams geek. Ok, not literally.

Brain Think Tank - Two brains are better than one. And you have a hard time stopping your mind anyway.

Pedestrian Turn Signal - Because a geek uses the powers of nerdification to keep the children safe during trick or treating.

Pet Darth Vader Costume - don’t forget the pet! Massive geek factor.
