I love that title. Talk about vague. It seems things are hush hush. But the gist of it is that there is a new vulnerability within Word. This vulnerability is being actively exploited. And, as we have heard way too much already this year, it allows remote, system access. Secunia is reporting this as an unspecified vulnerability that is different from the previous memory corruption error in Word, posted last week.

These are the affected versions:

Microsoft Office 2000
Microsoft Office 2003 Professional Edition
Microsoft Office 2003 Small Business Edition
Microsoft Office 2003 Standard Edition
Microsoft Office 2003 Student and Teacher Edition
Microsoft Office XP
Microsoft Word 2000
Microsoft Word 2002
Microsoft Word 2003
Microsoft Word 2003 Viewer
