This is another fun tool from Edmund’s Scientific. If your child is scientifically inclined or just loves spy stuff, they will like the Supersonic Ear. I did a little experiment. I set this toy out with some friends to see if any of the kids would enjoy it. It was like moths to a flame. Soon I heard one of them saying to the group, “Go over there and talk about something.” Then I could hear his devious laugh as he said, “I can hear everything you say!” That was priceless. Of course, you have to be careful what you talk about.

The device is easy to assemble and only takes a 9 volt battery. The range on this device is not great - only like 10-30 feet. I think it only did closer to the 10 feet range. The device comes with headphones, but they aren’t the greatest. But they’ll do for kids torture testing toys! You can pick it up for around $24.
