Tooth Tunes Rocks Your Jawbone

toothtunes.jpgGetting kids to brush can become a real chore.  That’s why parents love all the innovative toothbrushes that come out.  Whether it’s a Batman shaped toothbrush or a fish swimming in a liquid filled handle, kids brush longer when it involves something fun.  And why fight the process when you can make it fun?  Well, some clever inventors have come up with a toothbrush that plays music that only the brusher can hear.

So, how does it work?  Well, it’s similar to how you can hear yourself hum if you put your fingers in your ears.  The jawbone is a great conductor of sound.  So, when you put the vibrating bristles to your teeth, it travels through your jawbone into your inner ear.  Eureka, you now hear sound.  Tooth Tunes plays the track for two minutes.  This encourages your kids to brush for the recommended time.  Also, if they brush well, they can hear the sound better.  Initial models carry songs from Hilary Duff, Jesse McCartney, Kelly Clarkson, Queen, KISS, etc.  MMM, “We Will Rock You” while I’m brushing my teeth.  Maybe daddy needs a new toothbrush.
