Xbox logoAGH! I couldn’t resist the -z0r plug, even after the “ownage”. Anyways, for PaulTech readers who are console or even PC gamers, it may excite you to learn that Microsoft has recently released the next tier-level Xbox 360. Named the Xbox 360 Elite, this Gunmetal-Black console is the latest version of the 360, sporting all the features of the “Premier” model, with some new add-ons and content in the XBL (Xbox Live) Marketplace. Pricing for this version of the Xbox stands presently at $479.99, however, this next level of console should drive down the price of other systems below it. The new, stand-out features are listed below…

  • 120 GB hard drive
  • Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (black)
  • USB Headset (black)
  • Xbox 360 HDMI Cable
  • XBL Silver Membership
  • One-month subscription to XBL Gold

The HDMI port on the back of the Elite is definitely something to be cheering about. Older Xbox 360s have not had the capability to go beyond Component hookups, so this is a very welcome addition for those with HDTVs.

Ooohhh, look at the nice paint job:
