You can survive a while without food, but take away your water and you’re hurting - fast. This is, of course, especially the case in desert conditions. A major headache for our military is getting fresh water to troops who are in arid places. It’s also an issue in situations like hurricane Katrina, where fresh water is no where to found. But transporting water to disparate locations is very costly. Aqua Sciences has come up with a way to cut out transportation by literally grabbing the water out of the air.

FEMA bought some of Aqua Sciences Water Stations. They come in 20 foot and 40 foot varieties. The upfront cost is pretty steep, but that cost is quickly made up. It can cost upwards of $15/gallon for FEMA to ship water to disaster locations. It costs them around 15-30 cents per gallon using this water station. That sort of price differential is quickly made up. Here are the other spec run downs:

I’ve looked every where and I can’t find the price of these things! For example what would be the cost of the “OFF THE GRID” water generator?
