icache.jpgHave you ever seen the episode of Seinfeld where George has the overstuffed wallet?  He gets all this back pain because he is sitting on a melon sized wallet all day.  I bet some of you can relate.  So, you may not have a melon sitting in your back pocket, but you probably do have too many cards in it.  How would you like to turn in your wallet for a digital one?  It’s an intriguing question.  iCache wants to digitize your wallet.

The idea is a simple one.  iCache is a fingerprint enabled wallet that stores your credit card information.  All you have to do is swipe your fingerprint on the device.  There is one card in the iCache device.  Select the card you want to use on the iCache.  Pull out the card and swipe it at the vendor’s point of sale device.  That’s it.

Of course, there are the other questions that crop up.  I know people like storing pictures in their wallets.  It would be nice to have a color display that would store pics like a wallet.  Also, what about losing the device?  Well, it is biometrically secured.  That makes it impossible for crooks and criminals to use it.  And that’s a heck of a lot better than our current credit cards, though I have been reading about changes in those credit cards too.  More on that later.  And you’re probably wondering what kind of cards you can put on iCache.  Any card that has the magnetic, black strip on it can be put into it.  This includes membership cards, gift cards, credit cards, etc.  We’ll have to keep an eye on this one.
