
If you’re a weather buff, you probably have your own weather station. The one in the link provides numerous details like “outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, barometric pressure and rainfall (does not support UV and solar radiation), and calculated parameters, such as dew point, heat index, wind chill and rain rate.” And with it you can also join weather underground’s network of personal weather stations around the globe. One of the other things that weather conscious folks do is buy a weather radio. This can literally mean the difference between life and death in storm ridden areas. Some Oregon weather radios have been recalled because they sometimes fail to send out alerts issued.
