Sony Rolly Is Just Bizarre

sony-rolly.jpgIt seems that Sony has totally stolen my idea. I can’t believe it, but it’s true. I was walking down the street the other day in a smog filled, traffic congested, noisy, ugly city. The atmosphere was so depressing and oppressive it made me want to vomit, hard. Anyway, I was just minding my own business when I had an epiphany. You know, a eureka moment. A time when the light bulb appears above your head. “Why don’t I make a ridiculous digital player?” I thought to myself. “Why don’t I make it light up, move around, and have limited storage!” Man, I was getting in the groove. I could feel the creative juices flowing. Could it get any better? “For the love of Zeus, why don’t I do away with the display and make it controlled by movement!” I wiped the drool off my face, knowing I had just concocted the world’s worst digital music player. And now I’m freakin’ totally mad because Sony has announced the Rolly. Now my horrendous idea will have a Sony label on it. Life isn’t fair.

I mean, just check out this bizarre commercial pimping the Rolly:

It seems that the Rolly would sell in the US for about $350. And it only has a gig of internal memory. It does, however, have bluetooth ability. But I say so what. Release is only in Japan so far. Let’s hope that’s where it stays. Oh, by the way, you can choreograph the Rolly’s movements with songs using Sony’s included software. Again, why? Stop the madness.

You can go here to see the Rolly in action. Just click on that video link on the left side near the bottom.
