DD-WRT Firmware Pimps Your Router

wpa2.JPGRouters are nice. You can open ports up and allow a variety of applications to run from inside your network. Most people seem to just run the standard apps. But, some of you want to run everything. You want to tweak things so you can get at anything, from anywhere. Yeah, I know what that’s like. The problem is that you will need a very expensive router to do most of those things. Unless you download and install DD-WRT.  Take your existing, cheap, piece of junk router and turn it into a “sleeper.”  This thing is sick.

DD-WRT is a firmware update for your router. It extends the functionality of the hardware. Here is a list of currently supported routers:
