Sony really wants ebooks to succeed. This go around Sony is utilizing eInk so that the battery last longer and the reading is easier on the eyes. EInk is starting to be used in some cool devices like this eInk woman’s watch. The unit is slim, light, and good looking. But the real question for people will be the price tag. Well, at $299, I don’t think many folks will even give it a whirl for a one dimensional device.
Sony is giving a special of 100 Connect ebooks with the purchase of the reader. Still, I think this is a hard sell. It’s interesting to note that they list the OS as Windows XP.
