
I keep my eyes on solid state drives. I would love to have a solid state laptop running linux. If you don’t want to wait for a solid state laptop, you could always retrofit your current model. A company called Addonics makes Compact Flash IDE adapters so you can hook up your CF modules to your laptop.
Though for 32GB of flash memory you would end up paying around $500, this could win you geek points with your friends.
