The DRM hack issue is a cat mouse game between users and music publishers. The problem is that those types of hacks typically approach things at the programmatic level. Music publishers encrypt the files and users try to crack the encryption. And for most music lovers, they just want a good way to back up their music or make it easily portable. Well, Tunebite uses an old idea from the days of VCR’s and Walkmans. And it’s very effective - and legal.
Do you remember doing high speed dubbing on your old cassette tapes? Well, Tunebite allows you to do the same sort of thing digitally. You can capture the digital audio stream and save it into a non-DRM audio file. Tunebite comes in a few flavors:
Premium - “Tunebite Premium records, converts and copies protected audio files with the WMA, M4P, M4B and AA formats and saves the recordings as unprotected MP3, OGG, WMA and WAV files. Features include: High-Speed Digital Dubbing for turbo-speed playback and recording (speed is processor dependant), virtual sound card driver, background operability and automatic recording level configuration, normalization and sound quality control. Tunebite’s Music Manager brings you fully-automatic population of ID3 tags, album cover artwork and lyrics, a CD burning function, mobile device synchronization and intuitive file folder administration functionality.”
Platinum - “
Platinum + mpeg4 - “ Videoraptor Special Edition for free! Videoraptor SE downloads fun clips of many video portals - like YouTube - for you automatically.”
Packages range from $24-$70. And with the high speed, batch processing functions, you can set Tunebite to work and head out for the day. That sure beats the cat and mouse game - and it’s legal. Why am I not surprised that they are based in Romania?

I find this article to be very useful for us; the ones that are buying music without actually own it. Have to admit that Tunebite gave me the opportunity to listen the music I like on my MP3 Player and feel like I actually own the music that I have bought
Tunebite is a great application. Got all my music free like this and I am no longer restricted to listen to it only on my computer.
It seems like the same as http://www.tunecab.com/. But in my opinion TuneCab has faster conversion speed for audiobooks and does support .rax files from Rhapsody. And it’s cheaper.
Tunecab has x3 conversion speed and Tunebite has 4x conversion speed. About the .rax files it works only if authenticate a device from Rhapsody. As for the price is the same as for Tunebite. But anyone can make an impression if you open the 2 softwares.
