First, couldn’t Asus come up with a better name for this laptop? Sure, it makes you stop and take a second look. But that’s not because it’s such a great name, but because it’s stupid. Anyway, enuff ranting. The 900 gives a little more than the smash hit predecessor, but at a little of a cost.
The unit sports a bigger screen that is 1024×600 and a solid state hard drive. Now we’re talking! You can get it in two flavors - Windows or Linux. The Linux version comes with a 20GB solid state drive, while the Windows version comes with a 12GB version. Both sell for the same price, around $550 USD.
