Fixing Stuck and Dead Pixels

There is nothing more annoying than turning on your newer 22 inch HD monitor to find stuck or dead pixels.  Stuck pixels are usually colored pixels that are frozen on a specific color.  Dead pixels are usually without color and hence muerto.  Don’t tolerate insubordinate pixels!  Smack them back into line with these techniques and tools.

Dead or black pixels

The easiest way to find these pixels is to display a white background on your desktop.  You will easily be able to pick out the dark pixels.  Now, get a washcloth.  fold it over a few times.  Turn off your computer.  Apply pressure to the affected pixel area.  Don’t press too hard!!!!!  Turn on your computer.  The spot should be gone.  If it isn’t, try massaging the areas around the pixel as well.  Many have reported good results with these two methods.  Just make sure not to use too much force.

Stuck or colored pixels

Now, let’s tackle those mal-colored pixels that are stuck.  To do this just use a program like KillDeadPixel or  UDPixel or JScreenFix.  Run it for a while and Boom! you have a rejuvenated pixel.  Enjoy.
