I recently got my hands on this little beauty. It’s a nice router (WRT160N) for a bunch of reasons, partly for the looks. It has a stateful packet inspection (SPI) firewall, VPN pass through, easy wifi protected setup mode (i’ll explain that later), 256bit WPA2 encryption, and 248Mb/second! Drooooool.
You have a lot of standard Linksys functionality built into the admin panel. And with two built in radio antennas, your range should be decent. But it will not compare to a router with more. Once I get the N card I will give a complete review, but so far so good. I used the easy wifi protected setup mode with the Brother laserjet HL-2170W printer and it was cinch. Just press the button on the printer (the pinhole in the network card in the back) and the button on the router and voile! That was fast and easy. I would recommend the router thus far, more to come.
