Maybe I should have said Iron Man, given the recent box office success. But the moniker “Rocket Man” seems much more appropriate. Yves Rossy is a former fighter pilot who now flies around the alps on a homemade rocket suit. Gotta love it.
The device cost around $300,000 to build and consists of 4 jet powered turbine engines and a carbon composite wing structure. Yves flies at around 190mph and can complete rolls. As you will see from the video, he jumps out of an airplane at the start and parachutes in at the end. That ending looks a little rough.

There is a cool gadget a http://www.gpsteentracking.com that allows parents to monitor their teens vehicle speed or whereabouts via the internet. It gives real time gps results every 1, 2 or 5 seconds. There is a similar product at http://www.ggppss.com . It is geared more on the tracking of commercial vehicles. I like the pert of monitoring a teens speed more so that the location. Either way its a cool product.
