I was pretty smitten by this video. Basically, it shows the design and production “genius” of ant colonies. It just makes you scratch your head. Now, if only they could be hired to design our cities.

Definitely incredible that these ‘unintelligent’ insects can cooperate in such a coordinated fashion. Very interesting. That said, I cannot quite get past the irony of destroying the entire project (the ants’ “great wall of china”) and all of the ants too for the sake of research.
