It seems that mini laptops are all the rage today. HP initially rolled out their Mini laptop line only to schools. They vowed that it was only going to be an educational offering. But that was before sales completely blew away projections. So, what do you do when you see such strong demand? You say mea culpa and ramp out other offerings as fast as possible.
Some people seem to poo poo the 1000’s smaller display (as opposed to the Mini-Note2133). But it’s still a good laptop. The spacious keyboard, nice screen, decent speakers, and instant on OS. Here are the specs:

it is good that it is thinner and lighter than HP’s previous Netbook but it is bad that Limited expansion options
