This is a timely post.  I was just looking through a bunch of statistics about stolen laptops.  Let’s just say that laptops are stolen a lot.  The problem with that is that you may have important and sensitive data on the drive.  Seagate wants to get rid of that problem for you.  Introducing the Momentus 7200 FDE drive.

The concept is an easy one.  Simply install the drive.  It will ask you to set your password.  You also have to put the password key on a USB drive or something.  Store that in a safe place where you will remember to look.  Otherwise, your data is toast.
