So, you want a cheap router, do you? I don’t blame you. You can fork out some serious cash for these things. But what if you want something cheap to do the job? Well, take a gander at the D-Link EBR-2310.
No, this cheap router doesn’t do all the things that a high end VPN router would do. If you want that type of stuff, buy one of them or use another cheap router that DD-WRT uses. This is a firmware hack that enables all that type of functionality.
You can pick this router up at most major places for like $30-$35 new. The router hooks up to your broadband router and includes a firewall. People love it because, duh, it’s a cheap router, but also because it is reliable. Mac users should hook the unit up to the Mac without the internet hooked up to it. You should be prompted to set it up after that.
Hard to beat that price!
