Let’s take a look at the HJ-720ITC Omron Pedometer. Walking is so good for you. Yeah, it’s not as high intensity as running and so forth, but it is much easier on your body. It’s great for those whose body wouldn’t be able to stand the beating that running brings.
The HJ-720ITC Omron Pedometer is a favorite among walking enthusiasts and it’s clear to see why. It can measure steps, calories, and distances. It can also measure aerobic steps. With a 7 day history, you can easily see how you are fairing during the week. That’s good to see short term trending. And it utilizes a lithium ion battery that will help it last for around 6 months.
The other really cool feature with this Omron pedometer is the software. Just hook the unit up to your computer to get it started (after install of course). Then it helps you track all those unit measures. It also calculates fat burned. And you can view your trends weekly, monthly, or yearly. Very neat. I’m including two screenshots.

HJ-720ITC / HJ-720IT-E2 (metric) models are not available for Asia Pacific region and Omron AP (Singapore) confirm that they do not intend to bring either of them into the region. Omron AP (Singapore) will not cover any warranty for this product for those who purchased them in this region.
Due to warranty issues Amazon.com and any online retailers using Amazon checkout payment system will not ship to this region. Only model available so far in SE Asia is HJ-113.
However an Australian online retailer seems to have it, are they exception to the rule? As far as I know its not available in SE Asia. What is Omron Healthcare thinking? This is weird considering HJ720 models are pretty popular product with lots of rave reviews. I would love to get one sadly I live in SE Asia and shipping costs for those few sites that do not use Amazon payment system can reach upwards of USD100.
