UV glue is  a  product that you may not have heard of, unless you are in a trade that uses it.  UV glue is an adhesive that will bond glass to dissimilar substrates.  Yeah, it’s greek to me too.  Let’s get a little deeper.

UV glue is really good to use with glass because it is incredibly strong.  It is also crystal clear.  But it can also be made with different colors.  That allows the end user to tailor it to their project specification, ie match the color with the color glass.  UV glue is typically hardened and dried through the use of UV curing lamp.  But some can cure with just heat or be left for a while.

Each UV glue has its own set of properties.  Some do better binding glass to glass than glass to metal.  Each also has its own tensile strength and flexibility before failure ratios.  You should check with each one before buying.  You may also want to wear UV eye protection if you are going to be using a UV curing lamp a lot.

The result is an amazing bond that is crystal clear.  This effect is most striking with glass to glass applications.
