This thing is a simple location device, but it runs on Wifi. That will definitely limit the amount of applications that it can be used for. But hey, it may work well in select markets.
If a nursing home has patients that tend to wander (I don’t blame them), then this wristband will be a good addition. But, if you are wanting to keep track of people wandering all over town, you may as well forget it. The lack of 3G or GPS would make the Ekahau T301W a very nice bracelet. Cost is around $60 a piece. Yep, that price range will work great for hospitals with lots of money.
