Okay, so it’s not the greatest resolution projector in the world, at SVGA 800×600, but it is cheap and extremely popular.  But the NEC 2000 Lumens SVGA DLP Projector is extremely popular and surprisingly affordable.

Another really good thing about this projector is that it only weighs 5.3 pounds.  Contrast ratio 1200:1, keystoning, and other standard options make the NEC NP100 a surprising find at such an attractive price of $399.  It’s really hard to go wrong with this one.  Specs:
