Asus Transformer Prime Pad

Asus has a knack for creating devices that are really nice for a good price.  The Eee Pad Transformer Prime is yet another example of that.  I do hate their names though.

The Prime can be upgraded to Android Ice Cream Sandwich.  And boy, do I love ice cream sandwiches.  The Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processor provides quad core processing and 1080HD output.  The 178 degree viewing angle, gorilla glass, and WXGA screen complete the video entourage.  You’ll notice the difference as soon as you pick this thing up and start playing with it.  Very responsive.  The other thing you will notice is how stinkin’ light and slim it is.  It is 1/3 inch thin and weighs 1.29 lbs.  Also comes with 1.2MP front and 8MP rear cameras.  Another cool feature is the dockable keyboard with 6 more hours of battery life.  The device has up to 12 hours of battery life already, so you won’t be hurting there.  1GB of memory provides nice head room for apps.

Here is a hands on:
