If you have ever worked with cameras or video cameras, you probably have heard of HDR, or high dynamic range. Well, typically, there is a lot of post processing you have to do to make that a reality. AMP is trying to change that by create a real time HDR video camera. Wikipedia defines HDR as: “a set of techniques that allow a greater dynamic range of luminance between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than current standard digital imaging techniques or photographic methods. This wide dynamic range allows HDR images to more accurately represent the range of intensity levels found in real scenes, ranging from direct sunlight to faint starlight.” But, honestly, the best way to understand HDR is simply to see it.
