Bone conduction is a pretty innovative technology that sends sounds to the inner ear through the bones of the skull. The Koreans from Pantech decided to try and develop a bone conduction mobile phone and the result is Pantech A1407PT which was designed for those with hearing problems or people that use a phone in crowding place with lots of noise. The user can hear voice of caller only by contacting the bone conduction speaker on his/her head.If I am not mistaken this is the first bone conduction phone and Pantech is the first developer to consider the technology in cellphone, but you should know that the technology is already being used for headsets that even work underwater.
Pantech A1407PT features pretty common specs: 2.4-inch QVGA display inside and a smaller 96 x 64 display on the flip, 1.3 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot and 20MB of built-in memory. It will be available on KDDI in Korea from November with an undisclosed price.
Note: I can really find a useful place to use this bone conduction phone. How about the stock exchange ring?
