Would you be surprised to know that Apple’s iPhone was named the “Invention of the Year”? I’m not and I guess that’s because I’m on the same frequency with Time Magazine that did a very good research and awarded the award of the best invention in 2007.

Thougt it has a lot of drawbacks like being locked on AT&T, doesn’t have IM or email support, big and slow, there are at least five reasons why it managed to get so many sales this year and creating a lot of buzz in the cell phones market. The main advantage is of course the design because from the early projects Steve Jobs wanted to make it “beautiful”. It worked out great.

Other reasons are the touchscreen display, works on the OS X platform, the fact that will make other phones better, and thinking in the future (imagine the iPod development so far) we can only think of the ghost of iPhones that should be on the market from now on.  So to be honest, I will cast my vote in.
