I’ve just noticed there’s a new PDA mobile phone from Asus, the upgraded version of P525. Running on Windows Mobile 6, the new Asus P527 comes with a GPS navigator installed working with the SiRF Star III chipset which has pretty good reviews so far, has a 2.6-inch QVGA display and a big numeric keypad for easier dialing or faster writing.

Asus P527Getting in details, the new ASUS P527 has built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a 2 megapixel auto-focus camera, a microSD card slot that supports SDHC cards and only weighs 125g. Though I can track myself with the GPS navigator I would love to see HSDPA and 3G inside. Some other interesting features are support for Google Earth Maps format, blog updates with travel thoughts via Travelog or a built-in FM tuner. Not bad at all.

It should be available in Taiwan and Hong Kong this month and in Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, India and Turkey right after. No price yet, sorry.
