Russia is following other communist countries like China or Ukraine (where MTS already sold it from October ‘07) in an attempt to save the apparency that they are a democratic country, but it’s still good to see them coming along. Now that you know an unlocked version of the iPhone will go to India you will be just as surprised to know that the Russian agencies agreed to allow RIM’s BlackBerry to be sold in their country for one year, starting from 2008 by the biggest carriers in Russia, MTS and Vimpelcom.
