I must admit that Sony Ericsson managed to get me. I wasn’t a fan of any of their models but seeing this new Sony Ericsson (Xperia) X1 makes me smile. It’s they way it looks that won me the first time but knowing that it comes bundled with great features like GPS, HSDPA or the 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus.

Another thing that got my attention is the fact that Sony Ericsson X1 runs on the new version of Windows Mobile and this is why SE was very evasive showing it off this week during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Analysts are still speculating on what version of Windows Mobile this smartphone will work on some saying is going to be version 6.5, other saying it’s a pre 7.0 version.

It should arrive late this year and I will be in line when it does if the price is not sky-rocketing.
