Not the best looking phone I’ve seen nor the smartest, but the new Philips Xenium 9@9 has something to put it in front of the crowd. It has an AAA battery slot available and uses Techtium’s BackuPower technology so that when you run out of the standard li-ion power pack just insert a NiMH or a alkaline battery and you’re good to go for a little longer.

This is a good technology but seeing it in a mobile phone may not be the best solution unless you’re in a Survivor episode and need urgent phone usage. Will see if it’s going to be a good concept starting from April, when it’s going to be available.
