All across the US and UK, Apple sold out all the iPhones, leaving AT&T and O2 with almost no stocks. Statistics say that more than 5.4 million iPhones were bought all around the world, by March, so the demand is obviously very high.

iPhone out of stock in US and UKAt first everybody thought that it was only a stock problem and that both the 8GB and the 16GB models will be available as soon as possible but, rumor has it that the producer is preparing for a big announcement and that is, the 3G iPhone - which we all know, will guarantee faster Internet surfing speeds.

Considering all these, it is very possible that the new 3G version of the iPhone will be presented during Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, this June. Simultaneously, it will be launched with the 1.2 firmware that will make it more compatible with corporate e-mail, a necessary upgrade if they want it to compete with the BlackBerry or the Treo smartphones.

Will keep you posted.
