With the new 3G iPhone on the market and with Google and T-Mobile teaming up to create G1 (the Google phone), we seem to be getting bad news from Microsoft. And it’s bad news indeed. Apparently their latest Windows Mobile 7, we’ve all been craving for some time now, is not going to be released before the second half of 2009.

Though Windows Mobile 7 is expected to be a dramatic improvement over 6.1, CNET noted that partners who’ve been waiting to get their hands on the new OS early next year have been announced they’re not going to get it earlier than the second half of n2009. That could be a big hit for Microsoft and probably HTC, too, who’s been supporting Microsoft for a long time now.
Let’s wait for an official announcement from Microsoft before we write the rash comments.
