So how often do you see a flip phone that looks like a square? Not very often; unless you happen to get your hands on the new LG Lotus, which defies conventions. It resembles with a high-end Blackberry-like phone on the face of it, but do not be fooled by the looks. This is just a mid-range device that offers you some great basic features and excellent keypad, designed for text message or email addicts.

The LG Lotus opens up into a QWERTY keyboard and because it uses a very unique square design, convenient and easy to handle. Available in both fancy purple and classic black, the Lotus sports keys that are domed enough to keep typos to a minimum.

With the Gen-N preferring texting over calling up people both because of the time it saves and the economy of it all, this serves the perfectly right. For a standard mid-range phone, the user interface is pretty smart and very easy to handle. You might have to browse deep once in a while for some of the applications, but that is expected. Just as long as you are not expecting a high-end phone because it is styled that way, you will be happy with the LG Lotus.
