iPhone enthusiasts and even iPod touch fanatics have plenty to play around with the new iPhone 3.0 OS  that has just been unleashed. Packing a multitude of new features that should keep those who sport the fancy gadget really busy, the most welcome addition is obviously the ‘cut, copy and paste’ option for text that offers plenty of flexibility for your mobile phone.

Another useful option is the Peer to Peer sharing tool that allows you to message and share data from one iPhone to another one via Bluetooth. But there are also loads of other features that allow you to copy and paste photos, spotlight search results, new push feature that tells you when you have been messaged IMs, a voice memo application that allows you record and send audio clips, anti-phishing options and automatic login into email accounts.

The update is free for all iPhone users, while those with an iPod will have to pay $9.95. Get yourself an update to experience the change first hand. It’s amazing. [via Gizmodo]
