HTC Snap: QWERTY Smartphone Makes Grand Debut

Dubbed the Snap, this phone is well and truly ‘snappy’. Perfect for the cosmopolitan user who needs to prioritize, stay in touch and always stay connected, HTC Snap is coming with a complete QWERTY keypad, runs on Windows Mobile 6.1, and sports a pretty cool 2.4-inch LED-backlight display.

Powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7225 528 MHz processor, despite its apparent serious look the bar-type mobile is loaded with plenty of features, like a 2 megapixel camera, WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth with EDR and A2DP, integrated GPS, and a microSD card slot.

However, the unique attraction of the Snap will be its trackball with an Enter button and the uber-cool Inner Circle function that allows users to easily prioritize messages on the basis of importance at the press of a single button. The mobile supports 900/2100 MHz HSDPA/WCDMA and quad-band GSM with a separate HSDPA at 850/1900MHz version designed specifically for the US market…
