The green bug has finally smitten the cellphone and the first example is the very impressive Samsung Reclaim which will be available with a Sprint subscription. Both the companies call it the super-eco phone and it is indeed true to this name with 80% recycled materials used to give it form.

The phone is constructed from bio plastic made from corn and there is no use whatsoever of the PVC. Even the BFR (brominated flame retardants) find a minimal amount of usage in the composition of the phone. The green factor apart, it does have some regular features which include a QWERTY keyboard, a 2MP camera, stereo Bluetooth and a slot for a microSD card up to 32GB.

Even the packaging for the new Samsung Reclaim is green with 70-percent recycled materials used and the manuals written in soy ink.

Available in two color choices- Earth Green and Ocean Blue, Sprint will begin selling this phone from August 16 for $50 on a two-year contract.

Remember a few years back when Samsung were making all this digital technology and no other company could come close to the quality or style? Well it appears they’re at it again, except this time it’s a mobile phone.

The new 8 megapixel C280 has much class and style, even as a guy I’d be proud to own this. The thing Samsung do well is take the very best technology, doesn’t matter who made it, then put it all together to make one device so much better than the rest everyone wants it and this 3x optical zoom camera phone is no exception.

It has 1600 ISO support supposedly taken from the K-Touch and uses Canon’s DIGIC III image processing system, however they do use some of their own technology in this awesome device, such as the CMOS sensor. Considering most other camera phones on the market aren’t even reaching 5 megapixels, this new groovy looking 8 megapixel C280 will be a must import as soon as it hits China later this year.

The new LG Vu specs and images managed to find (leak) their way to the surface. It’s the first mobile phone that will support AT&T’s new Mobile TV service. Since not everyone will use the streaming TV service, LG came out with the CU915 a version of the LG Vu that won’t have an antenna installed. The other one is dubbed CU920.

Both models include a 3-inch WQVGA 262K color touchscren display and a full HTML web browser, a 2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, HSDPA connectivity, USB mass storage mode and a microSD card slot if the built-in 120MB of memory is not enough.

Our friends from PhoneArena speculated that the new LG Vu should go on show at CTIA on April 1st. Let’s hope it’s not a joke because it looks like a great mobile phone

A new mobile phone by Samsung was announced these days. Dubbed “Muse” this clamshell is not really a muse and not something I was expecting from Samsung. It has a 2 megapixel camera, a microSD slot for more storage, Bluetooth and GPS, which are quite ordinary with these days mobile phones. One thing made me clap my hands though; it comes with built-in high-speed EVDO connection. Did I mention that it’s going to cost $90 (ninety bucks, yes)? Well maybe it’s not that bad after all but I was expecting more specs inside the new Samsung Muse.

As I said it’s a Quadband supports UMTS 900/1800/1900/2100 (in addition to GSM with EDGE on 900/1800/1900) and comes with a 2 megapixel camera, microSD support if you need more space, a large 2.2-inch QVGA display, Bluetooth and some pretty looks.

The General Mobile DST3G measures 117mm x 49mm x 16.5mm (4.6″ x 1.9″ x 0.6″) in size and weighs only 109g (3.8oz). It should be available starting from April if you want to buy one. Too bad we don’t know the price.

LG teamed up with Mark Levinson, a company specialized in designing high end audio devices such as amplifiers or CD players, to create a mobile phone that would please everyone that needs both a device used for calling friends or a media player for different kinds of audio formats.

Apparently teaming to create a fashion phone is not fun anymore, because the market requires amplifiers even on their phones. Called LG LB3300 or LG Rhapsody Music Phone, the slider features a LED-lit touch wheel, a 2 megapixel camera, 1GB of built-in memory space that can get expanded to 4GB, a 2-inch LCD display and Bluetooth A2DP stereo. It doesn’t look like a bad phone and if I add the fact that it can stream two listeners in parallel and has an audio wizard that does miracles with compressed MP3 files, I think it would be a good buying decision.

This is an upgrade of the old a990 and is supposed to be in the high-end classroom, featuring EV-DO (already want one) to fully support Verizon’s 3G services, with built-in GPS, Navigator and stereo Bluetooth.

Samsung SCH-u900 FlipShot also features a serial port, speakerphone, speech recognition, a media player and a microSD card slot. The price is $199.99 with a 2 years contract and if you like the black version you can buy it from Verizon, while the red version should come out from BestBuy on November 26.

Many users have been interested in seeing the new LG KG290 Slider live and now it’s the time to get your hands on it. I like the design, though I’m not sure about you but to me this looks much like a Samsung Slider that I’ve been used with, so far. The specs will talk for itself so here is what this new tri-band has to offer: a 1.7-inch TFT display with 256K colors (128 x 160 pixels), a 1.3 megapixel camera that can also do video, FM Radio, Bluetooth, GPRS Class 10 and USB connectivity.

There are a few things that you get standard on other cellular phones and the new LG KG290 won’t offer and I’m talking about EDGE, HSCSD or the rumored USB cable that you need to connect to your computer with. It does have an Internet browser (WAP2.0) and a Li-Ion 820 mAh battery that should keep it on for 200 hours if in stand-by or up to 2-hours of talking.

It’s already available in Japan in black and grey.

If you remember the name “Aquos” then you already know it’s about the technology on those sleek LCD displays they’ve launched with great colors and clear images that is now featured on a mobile phone.

Sharp SH-920 Aquos, has a 3.2-inch LCD display with 26million colors, that is 480 x 854 pixels big with a 16:9 screen and 2,000:1 contrast ratios. It comes bundled with a 3 megapixel camera and has a One-Seg tuner that will allow you to record on a SD-MMC card and view later. As a GSM phone, Sharp SH-920 comes with Bluetooth A2DP support, HSDPA and infrared, weighs 123 grams and it measures 50 x 110.6 x 18mm.

If you want one, then ask your friends from Japan or make a little trip there, because that’s where it will be available.
