Neurosky Thought Controlled Electronics
Not long ago I wrote about Brain Loop and Emotiv. Brain Loop and Emotiv are brain controlled interfaces, or BCIs. These allow you to control graphical interfaces, and ultimately machines, with your mind. Brain Loop’s interface made you look you were wearing an octopus. Emotiv’s wasn’t too much better. Neurosky has come up with a simple, and cheap, solution that may be going retail soon in various applications.
The Rise of Video Game Killers
The world - it is a’changing. This is evident everywhere (yes, besides Apple unveils!). Heck, just look on Wall Street for that matter. One of the more interesting, and disconcerting, changes lies in the belly of the military machine.
CarCade Makes Car Rides a Blast
Over the hills and to the woods, to grandma’s house we……whooooaah, watch out for that building! Carcade is a cool project that utilizes natural landscapes to build a real-time arcade game for car passengers. Yeah, drivers can’t play - cellphones are bad enough!
Ford MyKey to Help Teen Driver Parents
Car crashes are the leading cause of death for teens in the US. That figure alone should make parents take note. Group behavior in teens, the feeling of unbridled freedom, and the aura of invincibility all lead to reckless behaviors in cars. Ford wants to help teen parents with some good car parental controls.
Make Your Beer Belly Work
People seem to under appreciate the beer gut. They seem to think that it isn’t useful, or worse, a scourge to the manly beast. Men, don’t let that beer belly, or lack thereof, keep you from utilizing it with the genius of Thomas Edison!
Cowon S9 Looks Luscious
I like Cowon audio players. They have really nice sounds and are rock solid. I’ve had mine for probably 5 years now. The Cowon S9 brings a really slick looking personal media player (PMP) to the market soon. Will it be a hit or a dud?
Nintendo Announces New, Improved Hardware

When it comes to technology, its hard to beat our Japanese brethren in things like the video game, cell phone, and handheld device markets, and it’s the fault of companies like Samsung, Sony, and Nintendo. Nintendo had a massive developer expo and showcase earlier today, and a few of the guys from “Wired” were on hand to blog about it, but if you don’t care to read timestamps, Nintendo’s big thing was announcing a new and improved Nintendo DS, dubbed the “DSi“.Completely original, right?
2010 Honda Insight Kicks Detroit and Toyota in Groin
It’s always nice when you have just received a notice of 30% or more downward sales notice. But it’s so good when you turn around and Honda kicks you in the groin about the future. That’s because Honda (that secretive and elusive animal) shocked everyone by showing off the 2010 Insight concept. And, if the production model comes in anywhere close or better, this thing will be a great car.
Western Digital 4TB Network Storage System
Yeah, take a good look at Western Digital’s new College Refrigerator ShareSpace network storage system. Western Digital is attempting to bring an easy to setup and maintain home or office backup/storage system to the masses. I have to admit, it sounds interesting.
SuperTalent 128GB SSD Price Point Converging
One of the biggest fault points in a computer is the hard drive. One of the slowest points in a computer is a hard drive. That’s because the hard drive is a physical device. It utilizes spinning platters that are slow and prone to failure. In laptops, hard drives suck because they are prone to vibrational damage. I’ve been posting a lot in the last few years about the rise of solid state drives (SSD). You want solid state drives to become cheap and accessible because they are vastly superior. Well, the price point to make SSDs ubiqutous seems to be just on the horizon. SuperTalent recently announced that they are releasing a $299 128GB SSD.
